Author readings, workshops, and more.
My workshops and presentations are designed to empower parents/grandparents/caregivers and other villagers. By exploring how the world they create around their kids can affect their intelligence, behaviour, relationships and health, parents and others are able to powerfully influence the future of their children––and the future of humanity itself.
My 4 years experience in Toastmaster’s International–achieving Competent Communicator Bronze–have allowed me to give over 25 public talks for groups including:
• the Lunenburg County Community Health Board, NS, Canada
• as Guest Speaker IWK Children’s Hospital Volunteer Dinner, Halifax NS, Canada
• Maple Tree Montessori Preschool, Halifax, NS, Canada
• 3 Waldorf East Conferences, Blockhouse NS, Canada
• NS Community College, Bridgewater NS, Canada
I continue to do a limited number of workshops/presentations/readings.
If interested, please contact me through this website.
This is the blurb for my Sept/Oct workshops:
UP-COMING PARENTING WORKSHOPS
According to local author and educator, Nancy Tracey, “Young children are miracles in motion. The growth and learning they can accomplish every day in a rich and stimulating environment is absolutely astounding. But they can’t do this alone. Unleashing a child’s potential requires frequent quality experiences, lots of love, and mindful attention.”
Nancy’s workshops focus on how to empower parents to help their kids thrive. She shares simple yet powerful ways to enhance brain development, emotional intelligence, literacy, behaviour, health and well-being. She will be offering her workshop 3 times locally over the next month, at the following SSPL locations:
Margaret Hennigar Library, Bridgewater, Sat. Sept 30, 2-4pm (Call to register: 902-543-9222)
Lunenburg Library, Sat. October 14, 2-4pm (Call to register: 902-634-8008)
Thomas H. Raddall Library, Liverpool, Sat. Oct 21, 10:30-12:30 (Call to register: 902-354-5270)
There will be a draw for copies of Nancy’s book, The First Five Years: Nurturing Your Child’s Ability to Learn, at each location. Her book will also be for sale ($25).
